The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multi skilled Engineering team leader with an electrical bias within the Engineering Department. Reporting to the Engineering supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the engineering teams day to day activity, assigning work and attending and resolving breakdowns with in a timely manner, to follow and maintain a high standard of work and actively look for new ways of proactively reducing equipment down time. You will be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and be able to work safely at all times. You will also be supporting the engineering team during periods of absence e.g. holiday, sickness and training.

The Successful Individual

You must have the following experience to be selected for interview:

  • City & Guilds/Level 3 NVQ minimum in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience of managing others in an FMCG environment including managing absence and performance
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is essential, food manufacturing would be an advantage
  • Experience with the following would be an advantage: Fillers, Vacuum tray sealers, slicers, bowl choppers, boxing and packaging machines, xray, metal detectors.
  • A positive attitude and openness to learn
  • Experience of fault finding and diagnosis at a fast pace
  • An approach which looks at root cause rather than just an initial fix
  • An ability to work on your own initiative and as a part of a team
