Come join the Small Business & Self-Employed Group (SBSEG) as a Software Engineering Manager, and help fuel the prosperity of small businesses in the UK. Through your leadership, the fast-paced engineering team will have the opportunity to design, build, and deploy the next wave of products and services that will revolutionize the lives of small businesses and accountants.

Our UK business is growing fast. The role will be responsible for leading two/three scrum teams, around 10-15 engineers in total. The team is growing fast and this role provides the opportunity to scale with our UK business for the right candidate.

  • An experienced Engineering Manager / Development Manager / Head of Engineering currently leading and mentoring passionate cross-functional teams of 8+
  • Someone who flourishes on seeing their team’s performance improve and is never satisfied with the status quo

How you will lead

Working closely with the Head of Engineering, Europe you will:
  • Grow people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback
  • Champion good engineering practices, constantly seeking the right balance between quality and delivery
  • Care about your team ensuring a phenomenal working environment and ensuring no-one leaves Intuit for the wrong reasons
  • Help us grow our team by seeking out amazing individuals and promoting the Intuit and Quickbooks brand through external outreach, events, and blogs / articles
  • Continuously improve your team, focussing on lean and agile best practices to remove waste and focus on both the long and short term technical vision
  • Be adept at articulating the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen
