Patheon is an organisation with cutting edge technologies at the heart of its manufacturing processes, and a desire to evolve the business process to be equally industry leading. You will work within the engineering function as a central point of contact for many of the department’s administrative requirements. This includes monitoring schedule adherence to the maintenance plan, closing of completed activities on the computerised management system, maintaining departmental spreadsheets, raising and expediting of purchase orders and interacting with other departments when required.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has:

  • Tremendous passion for process improvement and structured working. An eye for detail and a drive for right first time.
  • Strong computational skills on standard MS Office applications and a fast learner for new applications

What will I do?
  • Work autonomously to deliver defined objectives and proactively seek out improvements.
  • Offer opinions to business process improvements.
  • Interact with clients and suppliers directly, forging strong business relationships.
  • Ensure cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied in all activities undertaken to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ownership of the upkeep of the department’s administrative duties.
  • Ensure best practice approaches are always sought to future proof any applied solutions.
What do I need?
  • Experience in an administrative type role within an engineering or practical environment.
  • Ability to self-manage with demonstrable structured planning skills.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritise within a changing environment.
  • Experience critiquing documentation templates for best practice improvements.
  • Experience in writing technical documents (reports, exec summaries, etc)
  • Positive and optimistic in approach to work.
  • Maturity and pragmatism with strong organisational abilities.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active approach to taking on challenging assignments.
  • Strong project ownership ethic with a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work within and deliver critical timelines.
  • Good communication skills and the self-confidence to use these skills to convince others to buy-into proposals and plans.
