Position Summary:

As a Field Service Engineer, your role is to provide service, maintenance, and support for sluice equipment at customer sites. You will be responsible for attending customer locations on a planned and reactive basis, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of sluice equipment. Additionally, you will provide training and support to customers, identify opportunities for improvements, and make recommendations to enhance their facility. This role requires regular travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Service and Maintenance: Perform service and maintenance tasks on sluice equipment to ensure efficient operation and optimal performance.

2. Customer Support: Attend customer sites as directed, providing on-site support and addressing any issues or concerns. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as the primary contact for technical assistance and guidance.

3. Training and Support: Provide training to customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sluice equipment. Offer ongoing support and assistance to ensure customers maximize the benefits of their facility.

4. Improvement Recommendations: Identify areas for improvement in customers’ facilities and sluice equipment, and make recommendations to enhance performance, efficiency, and safety.

5. Travel: Engage in daily travel to customer sites as required, ensuring prompt and efficient response to service requests and scheduled maintenance visits.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

1. Electrical/Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a working understanding of electrical and mechanical components and systems, allowing you to diagnose and address issues with sluice equipment.

2. Basic Plumbing Experience: Familiarity with basic plumbing systems and principles to effectively troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

3. Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. Ability to organize work efficiently and manage multiple priorities.

4. Customer-Focused Approach: Comfortable engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner, demonstrating a commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.

5. Comfort with Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites, often on short notice, to provide service and support as required.
