Description And Requirements

We are investing in the growth of our Education business segment and have created a new position for a Microsoft Alliance Manager! In this role you will drive a unified sales strategy with Microsoft and Lenovo’s Sellers, BDMs (Business Development Manager) and partners focused on Education to identify opportunities, enable RFP response, drive pipeline and revenue recognition.

You will be the key focal for Microsoft for EMEA segment leads as well as own the Lenovo strategy and execution back to Microsoft reinforcing the current strong alliance between Microsoft and Lenovo and embody it in Education Segment

You are a part of an EMEA team of 15 people supporting the Education segment and will report to our EMEA Education Segment Leader.

Responsibilities

As Microsoft Education Alliance Manager for Enterprise & Public Sector (EPS), you’ll:
  • Focus on winning major Education deals managed in EPS
  • Enable Lenovo Edu BDMs and Microsoft Edu Sales Specialists on Microsoft & Lenovo education solution
  • Cover all EMEA countries but will deploy a plan adapted to markets priorities and context
  • Report to EMEA EDU Segment Leader

Grow Market Share Mix :
  • Regain and/or stabilize Lenovo leadership position in Windows market with > 10% increase
  • Implement an integrated proactive Territory plan with each Education Seller via Local BDM teams

Services Lead Transformation
  • Ensure EMEA Solutions Services Pen Rate in EDU is greater than Pen Rate in core business and aligned to Strategic Accounts. 5% Minimum threshold
  • Pitch – Show – Build Next steps

Increase Share of Wallet
  • Increase Share of wallet spending on focused accounts, via line of business program on Notebooks, Desktops, Workstation, Software (O365) Services and Solutions

Drive Acquisition
  • Drive, plan and strategize with Lenovo Sellers on focused Education RFPs tune for MS win
  • Pipeline opportunity identification, Sales closure, Revenue recognition
  • Uncover new tenders for Lenovo/Microsoft and facilitate the tender response coordination
  • SME in Microsoft programs to support tenders – win room etc

Simplify Local Engagement
  • Act as Microsoft Co-Leader for all Regional Segment Leaders (with the Channel MS Category Manager)
  • Provide Weekly BMS and clear call to actions / Help Needed and implement appropriate cadence.
  • Facilitate the connection of Microsoft account managers and Lenovo sales reps.
  • Collaboration/connection with Marketing to build awareness in market and influence tenders
  • Work closely with MSFT regional and local teams to ensure alignment across Microsoft / Lenovo portfolio

Qualifications needed:
  • 5+ years of experience with solutions-based selling, indirect route-to-Market and alliances management.
  • EMEA or international experience
  • Professional communication (Persuasive and articulate communicator) and customer interaction skills
  • Outstanding solutions-based sales skills and a passion for technology
  • Experience in Channel and Marketing
  • Good understanding of EDU SMB market and Business Partner eco-system
  • Fluent in English
