Job Title: EMEA Credit Trading Assistant

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

Location: Chester

Role Description:
  • Book new trades, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework and legal entity strategy
  • Work with support partners to make necessary amendments to trades
  • Monitor and process time sensitive requests relating to trade bookings, settlement issues and/or downstream feeds
  • Work with desk to monitor and minimize FX exposure
  • Submit house orders and client orders in CDS Credit Event Auctions
  • Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with Front Office, Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Resolving client issues – working with sales and client management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Resolve queries for the trading desk and related support partners
  • Cooperate with trading, sales, COO teams and often other LOB partners to enable the business
  • Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners
  • Involvement is various initiatives across both the business and trade control organisation
The Team:

Bank of America is hiring a Trader Assistant that supports the EMEA & CEEMEA Credit desks.

The TA will be responsible for, amongst other things, booking trades, trade validation, trade maintenances, portfolio review, break investigation & resolution, report preparation as well as control and query work.

The role is well suited to a conscientious, hardworking and motivated individual. The successful applicant will work closely with Front Office & other stakeholders across a variety of asset classes.

  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work diligently and independently, drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment, legal entity strategy and the importance of robust internal controls
  • Communicates and partners well with others to accomplish goals.
  • Working knowledge of bonds, CDS, IRS and equity products is an advantage
  • Proficient in Excel. Bloomberg skills are also useful
