An Embedded Software Engineer is needed to join a growing electronics company

The job will primarily involve the design, implementation, test, debug, and deployment of embedded systems firmware as well as computer and cloud applications for systems supplied into UK and overseas markets.

Key responsibilities will include: -

Design and implement embedded systems firmware from requirements to production and commercial deployment.

Design and implement software for cloud applications from requirements to commercial deployment.

Design and implement software for PC applications from requirements to commercial deployment.

Strong design, develop, test and debug abilities for all firmware and software development cycles.

Perform product testing in-house and with third parties to ensure new and existing products meet the necessary regulatory and industry standard requirements.

Complete all required R&D product documentation prior to release.

Assist in any reasonable request to help the day to day running of the R&D department.

Provide support to production and in the form of technical assistance to customers.To succeed in the role you will need some of the following skills and personal qualities and a willingness to develop the remaining ones: -

Embedded firmware development using C language with the ability to read schematic diagrams.

PC application development, preferably using C#.

Cloud application development.

Well organised and able to prioritise and multitask across multiple projects.

Self-motivated and capable of dealing with fast moving and varied events which can be demanding.

Good time management and project management skills.

Good written and oral communications skills.

Able to travel as required to business and customer meetings.

UK driving license.Opportunities to develop new skills outside successful candidates’ area of expertise will be encouraged.
