Recently Littelfuse acquired Embed, an embedded software consultancy that focuses on developing solutions for real-time control systems using model-based design techniques to improve quality and productivity.

Currently we’re looking an Embedded Software Engineer. We are seeking for a self-motivated, highly experienced individual who excels in developing solutions for complex systems and is willing to join and support our growing engineering team. All products and deliverables need to be developed in accordance with our processes, with the end product having a good robust performance meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Whether the customer is asking for a Vehicle Controller for an Electric Vehicle or a controller for Microwave Ovens.

This role offers a hybrid work style and directly reports to Embedded Systems Team Leader.

About the job:
  • Developing software in accordance with the development lifecycle including requirements specification, detailed design, and test, change management and configuration management
  • Performing software requirements analysis and architecture/design tasks including, when necessary, performing Software level FMEA, HAZOP, timing analysis.
  • Provide support to our application team for the integration of the software for builds, and ensuring that the correct configuration of the target package / build target.
  • Provide support to our Hardware Team during the development during hardware design and validation.
  • Provide support to our Systems Team for System Architecture/Design in order to ensure that software components are defined and agreed; including allocation of system requirements, rationale and critical interfaces.
About you:
  • Degree in an Engineering or relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing device drivers, embedded systems, and low-level drivers
  • Knowledge of Embedded C Programming
  • Experience design and implementation of embedded software using a version control system such as SVN, GIT
  • Experience with SPI, I2C, RS-232, NVM, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS, ISO-14229) and DoIP (ISO-13400)
  • Proficient with micro-controller IDE design/development tools
  • Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings
  • Experience in standard lab equipment such as power analyzer, oscilloscopes, frequency response analyzer to use for validating and debugging FW
Beneficial skills:
  • Product development experience using Matlab Simulink and autocode generation
  • Knowledge and experience of system level safety concepts and requirements (ISO 26262)
  • Knowledge of ASPICE process
  • Experience in real-time operating systems
  • Experience in Automotive Bootloaders
  • Ability to code in Assembly
  • Knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Experience of VectorCAST test automation tools
