We are currently looking for a manufacturing technician to join their team based in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a extremely well established company that are at the forefront of their sector delivering the highest quality products to their sector.

You would be joining a site noted as a Centre of Excellence for - RSS (Rotary Steerable Systems), MWD (Measurements Whilst Drilling), Drilling Optimisation & Batteries. Where you would gain exposure to projects throughout the complete development cycle.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

Good competencies with electronic technician tools and general test equipment.

Capable of producing deliverable items from full drawing packs with minimal additional help to relevant IPC standards.

Good electronic technician skills. Experience in; testing, low and high voltage experience, basic soldering, crimping, and assembly.

Basic fault finding and rectification at system and component level.

Experience & Qualifications

Further education in Electrical or Electronic engineering (e.g ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 2)

Proven ability to work successfully within design constraints.

Experience using electronic lab equipment (Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Low Voltage Power Supplies, High Voltage Power Supply (up to 400VDC), etc) to make measurements on and for test and debugging of electromechanical assemblies

As part of the recruitment process a practical test will be performed. The test will involve testing a standard sub-assembly following its test procedure. The practical test will be followed by a personal interview for candidate and the company to discuss additional requirements and preferences.
