Electronics Test Engineer. Do you have experience as an Electronics Test Engineer or experience in a related role? Company Benefits: 37.5hrs, On-Site Parking, Development and Training, Progression Opportunities, £35k DOE Electronics Test Engineer - The role and duties include:
  • Design and execution of test plans for new products in development.
  • Development of new test equipment for battery pack manufacture
  • Maintenance and improvement of existing test equipment and fixtures
  • Verification/Validation of test equipment and fixtures
  • Continuous training of Electronics Technicians
  • Support production with troubleshooting, technical questions and advice
  • Version control of compiled firmware (hex files) and assistance with programming fixtures
  • Inform product development teams on testing aspects of new product introduction (NPI) process
  • PFMEA - involvement in process failure modes effects analysis
  • Develop test specification in line with customer requirements and SPQP
  • Preparing test reports
  • Failure mode analysis and prevention
  • Record keeping in line with quality and company procedures Electronics Test Engineer skills desired
  • BEng or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Use of SQL databases.
  • Programming experience is highly desirable. Applicable fields are embedded C, Arduino platforms (for internal test equipment) and C# Windows programming (for helper test programs).
  • Strong fault finding/troubleshooting skills - on test equipment and on product
  • Background in power electronics is desirable but not essential
  • Organised, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Keeps priorities under review, plans and works flexibly to cope with change in circumstances and demands Hours- 37.5 Monday to Thursday- 8:30-5pm Friday- 8:30-2pm
