Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting an Electronics Project Engineer to join their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electronics development of all NPD projects, working closely with our client’s external design and manufacturing partners.Electronics Project Engineer - Key Responsibilities:- Act as the internal lead on electronics for NPD projects and work with internal members to develop key design targets for electronics.
  • Manage NPD projects through development and work closely with our client’s external partners - particularly PCB design partners.
  • Review existing PCB ranges, suggesting cost out and improvements.
  • Find alternates for critical components and components that are at end of life.
  • Work closely with suppliers, responding to enquiries, solving problems, managing workloads to achieve R&D goals. Review interim data and feedback and manage project delivery and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed electronic specifications - working with R&D and external resource where necessary.
  • Ensure that all new PCBs meet specification - hardware and software.
  • Prepare PCBs for test, producing detailed test reports and making minor adjustments as required.
  • Keep abreast of the electronic market, costs, potential problems, trends, etc.
  • Ensure all electronics meet the relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work with customers/colleagues to identify problems and advise on the solution whilst managing expectations of stakeholders.
  • Electronics Project Engineer - Skills & Experience- An experienced Electronics Engineer with strong project exposure is essential.
  • PCB design / project experience is highly desirable.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Experienced working to a high standard, delivering tasks with a focus on quality and quantity.
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change and development.
