Vacancy: Electronics Engineer
Location: UK - Billingham

As the Electronics Engineer you will be primarily designing, but including testing, verification, troubleshooting of designs, and design for manufacturing. The Tracerco product range is primarily nucleonic instrumentation and radiation monitors, hence a focus on sensitive detection electronics and industrial communications protocols, with a strong emphasis on reliability and safety.

Your responsibilities:
  • Design electronic circuits and systems, to comply with all product and safety requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, verify and troubleshoot electronic assemblies and PCBs.
  • Extract and interpret requirements from internal stakeholders and customers to develop products with a good market fit
  • Present and explain solutions to stakeholders to clarify decision and encourage collaboration
  • Work closely with embedded developers, support design of firmware.
  • Collaborate within a wider, multi-discipline development team to deliver products efficiently
  • Contribute innovative ideas and novel electronic design solutions to solve business and customer problems
  • Contribute improvements to the team’s working practices, to ensure a high standard of quality and efficiency
Requirements for the role:
  • Degree in electronics engineering related course or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience of producing and controlling technical and production documentation
  • Fundamental understanding of electronics principles and electronic production methods
  • Experience of electronic circuit design and testing (including compliance testing)
  • Knowledge of common industrial communication protocols (preferably Modbus, HART)
