The Electro-Mechanical Fitter job itself where you will carry out repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC and DC motors, motorised gearboxes, gearboxes, pumps, fan units and other associated rotating equipment.

  • Assistance with other key tasks within the workshop
  • To continue to encourage participation, innovation & creativity to improve the working environment.
  • To contribute to unrivalled quality repairs and service across a wide range of repair and maintenance services.
  • To become a key member of a successful operation working with highly experienced engineers on variety of rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.

The role will involve working standard day shifts with the opportunity to work overtime and to work on site with customers on occasion.

You will have

To be successful as Electro-Mechanical Fitter you will be a multi-skilled engineer with qualifications, training or experience in a mechanical equipment environment, plus a healthy mix of the following:

  • Ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn/damaged components
  • Basic electrical testing capability to assess the electrical condition of AC & DC components
  • Have sound mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options
  • Pump experience namely hot oil, water, also basic hydraulic knowledge
  • Driving license.
  • Consider the safety of you and your colleagues as #1 priority
  • Work well in a team
  • Can work on your own under your own initiative
