Apprentice Trained Industrial Electrician
Northern Combustion Systems Ltd - Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

NCS Ltd is one of the countries leading manufactures of furnaces, kilns and heat treatment systems in all industries within the UK and abroad, with customers such as Forgemaster, Liberty Special Steels, Saint Gobain and William Cook to name a few.

We are looking for an apprentice trained, qualified, skilled & versatile industrial electrician for the wiring of our products working in the combustion industry. Candidates will need to have experience in industrial installations and controls.

As an OEM, we design & manufacture our own control panels and systems, so you will need to be able to read and follow electrical schematic wiring diagrams. Experience in control panel building, and knowledge of control panel components would be and advantage to any candidate.

The position would be to wire the products in our factory during the manufacturing period using cable tray, trunking, unistrut ect.... Then onsite installation when delivered to the customers site. The role will also involve onsite customer servicing and breakdowns, so good fault finding skills are also required.

We use Siemens PLC’s and SCADA systems, so if the candidate would like to train in this area this is something we could look into providing.

Candidates will be required to work at our facilities in Dewsbury for product manufacture, and working away on site around the UK for the installations.

The candidate must.......

  • Have a full drivers licences
  • Have excellent installation & good controls skills
  • Have a pragmatic & logical approach to problems
  • Have some mechanical skills
  • Basic computer skills for emailing, reading/amending word documents ect....
  • Be a team player
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others, working to HSE policies.
  • Be confident and polite dealing with our customers
  • Able to arrange permits to work & ensure customers site H&S policies are followed.
  • Maintained good housekeeping in the workshop & onsite
