Hours: 42.5 hours per week- Responsible for the wiring and connection of new, dedicated circuits for connection of solar photovoltaic panels and battery storage.
  • Work will involve the installation of a new distribution board connected to the supply tails, running of SWA, T&E or tough-flex cables, the physical mounting of the inverters and batteries, commissioning, and the connection of the system to the manufacturers monitoring portal.
  • There may be multiple batteries to connect to each system.
  • May also be required to connect secondary systems such as heat pumps and/or water heating devices.
    • The Ideal Candidate Will- Have good practical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to follow technical drawings, building plans and wiring diagrams
  • Have the ability to work carefully, methodically and safely
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of electrical fault diagnostics and installation works
  • Have Knowledge of IEE Regulations
  • Be recognised and trained to work with vulnerable persons
  • Have asbestos awareness
  • Have knowledge of the risk assessment process
  • Be able to work as part of a team and individually
  • Have the ability to be flexible and adaptable as required
    • City and Guilds 2360-1 or AM2 Level 3 Standard- City and guilds 2394 or equivalent - Initial verification and certification
  • City and Guilds 2395 or equivalent - Periodic inspection and testing
  • Level 3 NVQ
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • 18th Edition qualified
