This role is based from our Blackburn office as above, but you will be required to cover the whole of the Lancashire region depending upon the needs of the business.

The Together Housing Group is currently enjoying a period of growth and expansion, and as such we have an exciting new opportunity for a couple of electricians to join our Repairs & Maintenance team in Lancashire.

This role is ideal for someone who can deliver top quality service and enjoys a role where no two days are the same. You will be covering all elements of the Repairs & Maintenance function, one day you may be working on emergency repairs, the next on testing and the next on planned upgrades.

We do not require you to have your current 18th edition qualification or your 2391 but these would be advantageous, if you are willing and able to pass our skills assessment, we will put you through your 18th edition and 2391 qualification. The company will continue to invest in you and provide the training required to be the best you can be in this role.

What will you actually be doing in this job?

To carry out all types of electrical repairs and testing to both tenanted & vacant properties as well pre-planned upgrade works.

To carry out all your repairs with an ethos of “Right First Time”

To keep all records as required, either on paper or using your PDA

To make measurements, quantification and procure materials as required

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Role

Experience

of working competently in all disciplines normally expected of a qualified electrician

Experience

of inspection and testing along with completing of all paper work

Experience

of working in a customer service environment

Experience

of maximising the number of jobs completed and repairs in a single visit

City & Guilds Craft Certificate in Electrical Installations (NVQ3) or equivalent

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license is required, and a driving assessment will take place due to the role requiring use of a company provided van.
