Do you have a background and recent project experience in high voltage component integration, networks and vehicles? Have you also been hand on around the projects and got involved in electrical wiring? This company are looking for an experience Electrical Project Engineer from the Automotive or Motorsport sector. The company is a design and engineering consultancy where they create, craft bespoke products and deliver premium services. The companies integrated solutions span from Automotive through to Lifestyle and Travel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading projects from a technical perspective with a focus on automotive electrical engineering. Job Responsibilities:
  • Electrical project engineer reporting to the engineering manager.
  • The role will have control of electrical system specification, design and delivery across all the company projects including high and low voltage applications. The role will involve working with customers and suppliers as well as being hands on with components, systems and vehicles.
  • There will be an opportunity to develop the electrical engineering capabilities within the company and steer the direction of the business within the electrical engineering field. Experience required:
  • Experienced automotive/motorsport electrical engineer with at least 5 years of experience within the industry.
  • A background of high voltage component integration, networks and vehicles is a critical requirement.
  • Knowledge of vehicle communications systems, circuit design as well as electrical component and control unit selection and integration is strongly desired.
  • A strong ability to diagnose issues with electrical systems and a competence in problem solving of electrical systems and creating solutions is essential.
  • An understanding of controls system design, engineering and implementation is desired.
  • Experience in Instrumentation set up, data collection and analysis is desired.
  • Exposure to Functional Safety requirements such as ISO26262 would be beneficial.
  • Ideally familiar with working on small volume/bespoke vehicles and products to tight time scales in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a well organised and methodical approach to planning and executing projects with minimal supervision
