Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment? Interaction Recruitment are currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our client’s team based in Hexham.

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s manufacturing plant through planned, reactive, and preventive maintenance activities on a variety of machinery. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining optimal production efficiency, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Planned, Reactive, and Preventive Maintenance on a range of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Work on pumps, valves, convert machines, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, including weekends (approximately 1 in 4) once training is completed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Proficiency in working on pumps, valves, convert machines, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Beneficial: Forklift driving experience.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with steam components.

  • Competitive basic salary of £35,000- £38,000 per year.

  • Permanent Dayshift role, Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00 & Friday 08:00-15:00.
