Infinis Energy are looking for an Electrical Apprentice who will be trained over time to become responsible for servicing, fault finding and repairing electrical high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems associated with Electrical Generation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, control panels, protection systems and associated plant.

The successful candidate will be fully trained in this role. If you are interested in becoming an Electrical Apprentice then keep reading, your duties are detailed below:
- To predominantly support the regional electrical team in delivering the successful completion of electrical maintenance activities on site
- To support the National Electrical team when required or as directed by the Regional Electrical Engineer or the Electrical Engineering Manager that Regional Electrical Engineers can achieve their maintenance plan on time
- Complete corrective maintenance work orders in line with good engineering practice so that site electrical defects are fixed the first time
- Meet and greet electrical contractors on site, induct and fill all necessary safety paperwork and documents so that work can be carried out safely
- Monitor the work of contractors attending the repair of electrical high voltage and low voltage systems associated with electrical switchgear, transformers and generator sets
- Assist the rebuild team to safely isolate and disconnect alternators before engine removal
- To carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical systems to maximise plant availability
- Reviewing opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Provide daily reports for the work carried out
- Providing written monthly updates on programmes, issues & actions
- UK Travel to various sites
You will become fully compliant with the companies procedures, SHE policies and relevant legislation for which you will receive training.

Desired qualifications
You will need a minimum four GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) or equivalent, including mathematics, English and a Science.
Future prospects
This will evolve into a permanent Electrical Technician after the 4 year apprentice programme. Infinis are investing in an electrical apprentice to assist in future proofing their team with electrical technical expertise to support, specifically with developing the cores skills that Infinis require to maintain its associated equipment. Also enable the PAT & Electrical inspection scopes to be completed in house and not external.
The plan is to Multi skill across Electrical and C & I.
Which is a focus area to drive greater value as their business changes.
