As an Electrical Engineer Project Leader for Mott MacDonald Bentley you will be working in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our Northumbrian Water framework. Responsible for the delivery of efficient and sustainable solutions, you will support in the delivery of work with multi-disciplinary project teams from project inception through to completion of construction.

We believe the best engineering projects are delivered by engineers, so we combine the traditional Project Manager and Electrical Engineer roles into a single, Project Leader role.

Your typical duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation and/or supervision of the development of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and cable, instrument, and I/O schedules.
  • Managing the interfaces and integration of the EICA design with that of other disciplines and production of documentation, including user requirement specifications / control philosophies, tender documentation, schedules and design reports.
  • Undertaking asset condition surveys and attending factory and site acceptance tests to provide technical advice and guidance.

Candidate Specification

  • ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE or demonstratable progress made in attaining the ICE attributes.
  • Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.
  • Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
