Your New Company

Envirowales is a forward looking recycling and metals manufacturing company, based in Ebbw Vale. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who can work as an individual and as part of a team of flexible electrical and mechanical technicians, reporting to the Senior Engineer. This role involves days/afternoon shift work, day project/PPM work and being part of a call out rota.

Your new role
  • Participate as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with other departments to improve performance and achieve objectives.
  • Setting priorities from shift production teams’ guidance.
  • Breakdown maintenance.
  • Significant involvement in project, development and installation work.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • Timed served apprentice
  • Minimum ONC, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with maintaining production equipment ideally within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemicals.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with mobile access equipment (desirable)
Experience With The Following Is Desirable
  • AC & DC systems
  • PLC Systems (preferably Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi & Siemens)
  • Instrumentation Systems (Thermocouples, Resistance Thermometers, Level control, Loop Control, Pressure Switches & Transmitters)
  • Inverter drive control of motors
  • Gas Burner Control Systems
  • 3-phase Overhead Crane Systems
  • General fault finding & diagnostics skills
Additional Skills Desirable
  • 18th edition I.E.E regulations
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic Control Systems
  • FLT/MEWP Training
  • CMMS experience
