Westwood Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Electrical design engineer with experience within the housing sector to join our consultancy client based in Birkenhead. Position Overview: As an Electrical Design Engineer Consultant, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing electrical designs for a variety of projects within the housing sector. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to create innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. Responsibilities:

Lead the electrical design process for projects from concept to completion.

Develop detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using industry-standard software.

Collaborate with clients and team members to define project requirements and objectives.

Perform feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for design solutions.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Qualifications:

Proven experience in electrical design.

Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.).

Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional Engineering (PE) License Is a Plus. Benefits
