EHS Advisor
  • UK – County Durham – Barnard Castle
  • Secondment / Fixed Term Contract – 9 to 12 Months

Here at GSK, we are on the lookout for an EHS Advisorto join our talented team in Barnard Castle to cover a period of maternity leave. Although this role will start off as a Fixed Term Contract, there is future potential to go Permanent for the right candidate.

As one of the largest secondary sites in the network, the Barnard Castle Site is at the forefront of GSKs Future Ready ambitions, supply a portfolio of classic and established products as well as developing and launching a range of new, mainly biopharm products.

The successful candidate will join a very experienced and professional team, bringing and building their experience of driving EHS improvement across day to day operations, projects and new product introductions.

Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Provide competent EHS advice, coaching and guidance to Line Managers
  • Coach and mentor risk assessors to evaluate risks and recommend process improvements to continuously reduce EHS risks.
  • Work with departments to develop and maintain their EHS Management systems.
  • Develop, prepare, and implement EHS procedures and new ways of working across the site.
  • Provide EHS advice on support for project and new product introduction activities.
  • Track and report EHS key performance metrics, interpret trends and recommend improvement program for the business.
  • Provide site EHS Induction and other safety training
  • Investigation of near misses and adverse events
  • Involvement in and leadership of EHS Audits as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • NEBOSH Certificate or a similar professional qualification & experience.
  • Relevant industry experience of EHS or closely related subject.
