The Role

CIBTAC is looking to recruit a Education and Course Development Lead for the Awarding Organisation (AO) based in Gloucester.

The post-holder will take a leading role in developing the activities of the Awarding Organisation, working alongside our Education Team and under the guidance of the Responsible Officer. The role will involve maintaining and developing our portfolio whilst promoting continuous improvements and excellent client relations.

Main Duties

Some of the main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Manage, maintain and develop our portfolio of qualifications and programmes in line with regulatory compliance
  • Develop and maintain supporting documents and exam papers to support qualification development
  • Oversee assessment and quality assurance processes
  • Promote continuous improvement across all CIBTAC approved centres
  • Deal with Qualification queries
  • Withdraw qualifications
  • Work collaboratively with the Management Team and Business Development Officer to secure new business and contribute new ideas in the workplace.
  • Carry out adhoc tasks and quality assurance processes.
  • Other Adhoc tasks and administrative tasks when required.

Education/Pre-requisite knowledge

Knowledge of the Beauty Therapy sector at Level 3 or above – Essential

Knowledge of Ofqual regulatory criteria – Desirable

Knowledge of qualification funding – Desirable

Knowledge of qualification development, assessment principles, training, skills and competence systems – Essential

Work Experience

Significant experience of product management in an awarding organisation or similar professional body – Essential

Demonstrable experience of managing a product portfolio through the full product life cycle – Essential

Significant experience of qualification and assessment design including the development of qualifications, support, and assessment materials – Essential

Experience of managing stakeholders in the development of qualifications, training programmes, assessments, and support material – Essential

Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to write clearly, succinctly and in plain English. Writes in a well-structured and logical way to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience – Essential

High level of interpersonal skills; establishes good relationships with colleagues and stakeholders – Essential

Plans and prioritises activities and projects in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances – Essential

Makes prompt and clear decisions; takes responsibility for actions, projects and people – Essential

Programme and/or project management skills – Desirable

Skilled at developing processes that are easy to understand so that opportunities for error in execution are limited and they deliver the right results at the right time and at the right cost – Essential
