Salary for this position is £51,406 - £54,522

A generous annual leave allowance of 30 days (plus an additional 5 days depending on having Continuous Local Government Service).

This is an exciting opportunity within our growing Property & Commercial department. As Economic Development & Programmes Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of the Economic Development Strategy, you will lead on all business support and growth activities, stakeholder management and funded programme delivery. In addition, you will assist the Strategic Head of Property and Commercial with the strategic management of the Council’s property portfolio and provide programme/project management oversight of our corporate projects.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, outstanding at building successful relationships with external and internal stakeholders, with experience of partnership working. You will have in-depth understanding of business and business support, including inward investments, skills and employment, tourism and rural, and you will have strong overall experience in economic development. As you will be leading a dedicated Economic Development team, proven management experience is also required. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable understanding of the property market and current property issues and you will be able to plan and prioritise work programmes effectively in the face of competing demands.
