The role

As a Project EC&I Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will deliver allocated project work from assignment to close out to support the Heysham 2 site, this will ensure the improved operations of the station fuel route during generation and beyond.


Day to day, you’ll perform feasibility studies, site surveys and liaising with station engineering staff to identify scope of works

  • Manage a package of work— including all aspects of small projects lifecycle through to completion, including supporting documentation and commissioning, developing costings/plans were necessary.
  • Technical investigation into plant modifications
  • Carry out pre-job briefs and setting subcontractors to work
  • Embed a Health and Safety culture by leading by example and providing coaching where necessary, creating, and carrying out task risk assessments.

Essential experience of the Project EC&I Engineer,

  • Experienced working to a safe system of work, strong health, safety, and quality culture
  • Electrical, Control or Instrumentation background, ideally with some mechanical knowledge
  • Knowledge of WRAMS (Work Risk Assessment Method Statements) and Quality plans
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and setting a team to work

This is a full-time role, on site at Heysham B.


Qualifications for the Project EC&I Engineer,

  • HNC/HND level qualified or equivalent site-based experience within a highly regulated industry, ideally nuclear


The successful candidate must be able to achieve CTC security clearance level for this role.
