This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, inspirational and committed Early Years Educator/Practitioner who is keen to develop their career, with the opportunity for the right candidate to be fast-track promoted to the role of Deputy Manager and an enhanced salary.You will work alongside the Head of Centre supporting and inspiring other members of our happy friendly team who provide so much fun and are so loved by the families we serve. We have a maximum of 12 children aged between one and four, and a small after school and holiday club. Edale Stepping Stones is in the beautiful Peak District with excellent transport links to Sheffield (30 minutes) and Manchester (45 minutes). The station is only 5 minutes walk from us and we have a free on-site car park.

All candidates must hold a minimum of Level 3 or above in a Childcare and Education qualification.

• You will support the Head of Centre in the daily running and management of the nursery within the EYFS and OFSTED frameworks.
• Provide excellent care and learning for all children, and be key to continually raising the quality of early years provision.
• Inspire, support and mentor other members of the team, celebrating the different contributions that individuals make.
• Ensure the safety of all children and respect confidentiality.

Necessary qualifications:

• Level 3 or above qualification in early years and childcare
• Enhanced DBS
• Paediatric First Aid qualification (training can be organised by us)
• All candidates are subject to background checks

Essential experience:

• At least 2 years proven experience of working in a nursery setting.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding children.

Desirable experience:

• Management eg. Room leader
