Your Role

As the Early Careers Programme Manager for Academies, you will lead and manage the delivery of Academies and other alternative entry points across Consulting, delivering and innovating exceptional experiences that enhance capability and performance. Our Academy strategy is closely linked with our apprenticeship (BrightStart) Programmes so this role will also contribute to and help implement both our academy and apprenticeship strategies.

Working closely with a broad range of HR and business stakeholders to align, influence and adapt the strategy with centrally led initiatives, you will collaborate with teams and engage key stakeholders across the board to promote offerings and implement performance metrics that measurably impact programme quality.

Responsibilities

  • Programme management and delivery of Academies and alternative entry points across Consulting, including:
  • Academy recruitment and input into attraction
  • Management and onboarding of new suppliers
  • Capacity building for suppliers as required
  • Relationship management of internal stakeholders including Early Careers Leads and Sponsoring Partners
  • Relationship management of external stakeholders, including government departments, meeting with them regularly and reporting on stakeholder requirements
  • Training needs assessment
  • Ownership of programme budgets
  • Direct liaison with Academic bodies to conduct course review and iterative workshops
  • Implement the strategy for academies in Consulting, managing the governance and employee experience of each academy in co-ordination with the relevant early careers lead and partner/director running it on a day to day basis.
  • Review post-Academy onboarding, design and implement improvements
  • Design and implement metrics that measure the impact and success of the Academies
  • Know your clients, and act as a subject matter expert for early careers in consulting, working closely with Learning Business Partners, other HR teams and Business stakeholders to ensure design and delivery of relevant and integrated programmes for the respective cohorts.
  • Support on wider Consulting Early Careers activity as required

    Your professional experience

    • Relationship management: ability to build strong and lasting relationships both internally and externally and able to develop and manage these relationships -coordinating cross teams as appropriate
    • Experience and passion in talent development and learning.
    • A great communicator, with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels in the organisation and able to present to large groups of students either in person or on webinars.
    • Excellent at building networks and connections, on both regional and national levels.
    • Strong experience of a base of project/programme management: ability to manage multiple complex projects and programmes; work well under pressure, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Experience of school leaver and/or university programmes lifecycle and knowledge of the marketplace in the UK
    • Inquisitive and driven to seek out opportunities for Deloitte to improve our academy programmes to maximise the impact we have in this marketplace
    • Able to work autonomously but also able to understand where matters require further approval or escalation in order to resolve
    • Sound analytical skills: able to review data and spot trends, and make sound recommendations based on the data

    Personal independence
