Position: Drivers Mate / Assistant

Location: Ivybridge (Lee Mill)

Driver Hire Plymouth & Cornwall are currently looking to recruit several drivers mate’s for day shift work based out of Lee Mill, working for a busy client of ours who specialise in the distribution of ambient and chilled goods. If this sounds like something you are interested in, apply today!

About The Job
  • Shifts start at 05:00 and and will typically finish early afternoons.
  • Pay is between £9.20 and £13 per hour, depending on which days you work.
  • You’ll be paid by the hour, no day rates with overtime being paid after 8 hours.
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday, ongoing weekly work with overtime available on the weekends.
  • PAYE which means that you are properly taxed as well as receive holiday entitlement and pension contributions.
  • You’ll be expected to carry out general drivers mate duties as well as the loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Training will be provided.
Candidate Requirements
  • Good customer service skills.
  • The ability to lift and carry as well as move freely is necessary due to the physical nature of this role.
  • Own transport would be preferred due to the location of the client and working hours.
This is a temporary ongoing position that could lead to full time work for the right candidates.
