The Role

We have permanent, part-time driving work available in your local area. The work is every school day for both morning and afternoon runs and on average is between 12.5 and 20 hours per week. This rewarding role is driving children and young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs to and from school. (circa 190 days per year)

• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operational goals of 24x7 Ltd
• Monthly Salary: between £410 - £850 per month (£8.91 per hour)
• Part-time hours: 12.5 - 30 per week
• Brand new company vehicle and fuel card (both for company use only)
• Work only during term time
• Full Training, no experience of this type of work is required
• Rewarding work with excellent support team
• Enhanced DBS criminal record check (24x7 will cover the cost of attaining this)
• You will be working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults

About You

• Full UK driving license held for over 5 years (with at least 3 years driving experience)
• Good command of the English language
• Ability and willingness to drive various types of vehicles (Cars to 8 seater minibus)
• Reliable and enjoy working with children
• Understanding and compassionate nature
• Available am/pm for all school days and have a friendly and positive manner

NB: Please note that this role is PART-TIME and TERM-TIME only, so sadly, this does not produce what could be construed as a ’living wage’. This position is perfect for those looking to top-up their current household salary(ies)/pension. Stability for our clients is also paramount, therefore, we do ask you remain available every Monday to Friday during term time (190 days per year, the academic year) and that no holidays should be taken during term time, time taken during term-time will be unpaid. We cannot guarantee a minimum amount of hours per week other than the standard 12.5 hours. e.g. if you require at least 16 hours per week, we cannot guarantee this, we can only guarantee 12.5 hours per week. The amount of hours will be determined by the contracts we acquire in your area, these are provided by North Yorkshire County Council.

Part-time hours: 12.5 - 20 per week. This may be more depending on individual contract requirements of our client
