RAF-3442 – STELLEX MANUFACTURING LTD - DRIVER / LABOURER

Stellex Manufacturing Ltd based in Batley – Leeds offers an extensive range of products for use in the catering industry, from the simplest of tables for food preparation through to bespoke and high spec servery counters. Throughout the Company’s trading history, we have earned a reputation with the catering fabrication and distributor markets for providing high quality solutions and services to all its end users. We are now looking to recruit for a Driver / Labourerto join our team.

Please note the hours of work for this role are:

40 hours per week – 7.30 – 16.30 – Monday to Thursday and 7.30 – 14.00 – Friday.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor this role is responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections across the UK and general labouring duties. Other duties involved in the role are as follows:

Main duties will include:

• Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK using a Luton Van.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured into position prior to departure from site.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, whilst observing any manual handling instructions given.
• Ensure that all documentation provided with goods for despatch / collection is completed as per the required instructions. This includes obtaining customer / supplier signatures for goods delivered/collected including receipt of payments (if required).
• Assist with any shop floor activity required involved during the assembling of products, including cutting of materials, removing laser film, deburring and finishing.
• Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Any other duties commensurate within this position and skill set required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience of working on a shop floor environment.
• Possess a full driving licence, not exceeding 6 penalty points.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours Early starts, late finishes) and some nights and weekends away from home as and when the business dictates.
• Have the ability to work within a team or on your own initiative, able to solve problems.
• Be smart in appearance and have a polite manner.
• Possess the ability to multitask
