LCV Hire is the new fast-growing vehicle rental division of one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle suppliers.

LCV Hire are now looking for enthusiastic, flexible, customer-focused individuals to work as drivers/valeter at our office based in Skewen, Neath as part our new short term hire team.

This is a Full time Contract.

This is a dynamic and exciting role involving delivering vehicles across South Wales and the rest of the UK when required, return transport is always provided. You will be required to complete all hand over documentation direct with the customer, so excellent customer service is essential.

Presentation is key, so the preparation of rental vehicles to an exceptional standard for collection by, or delivery to the hirer is extremely important. You will be expected to become fully skilled in all aspects of vehicle valeting and preparation, including interior cleaning.

Attention to detail and a willingness to undertake hard, often physical work in all conditions, are essential character traits. Possible career paths include rising to senior driver, site supervisor, or moving into rental sales.

DUTIES:

· You are responsible for the preparation, cleaning and valeting of our vehicles making sure they are to a high standard.

· Ensuring vehicles are delivered and collected between branches and customers in a timely manner.

· Inspecting vehicles for damage when they are collected/returned, reporting any damage defects.

· Always providing a high level of customer service

· Utilising computer based rental systems to update vehicle status.

· Completing all necessary handover documentation with the customer

· Refuelling of the vehicles when required

· Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.

· Working to set timeframes and targets.

· Completing a daily record of work completed.

· Other duties to support the branch as required.

Skills, Experience and Person Specification

· Flexible, and willing to vary tasks and hours of work, including weekend work.

· Able to work well under pressure, both independently and within a team

· Must be over 25, owing to the requirements of our vehicle insurance policy.

· Have a full, clean valid driving licence with a minimum of 2 Years driving experience.

· Experienced in a similar position, or at least within the automotive industry would be an advantage but not essential.

· Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Willing to work to the highest standards of detail, presentation, and to tight deadlines.

· Be able to demonstrate the highest standards of driving safety and professionalism.

· Must possess a UK-approved driving licence.

· The driving licence must be clean (applicants with minor endorsement may be considered)

· A DBS check is required on appointment.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5pm *Times may vary*

Job Type: Full time, reporting directly to the Rental Manager.

Salary:£10.42 per hour paid the last Thursday of the month
