Due to company expansion, Scenery Solutions are looking to recruit additional staff to expand our pool of drivers for the delivery and collection of hires of theatrical scenery and costumes across the UK.

We are looking for drivers with a full UK driving license, a current digital tacho card and license entitlements to drive both B and C1 category vehicles. An interest in theatre is helpful but not essential. Leaving and returning from our base in Eastleigh, the work will involve loading and unloading of theatrical scenery, props, backcloths and costumes from our fleet of vehicles. Drivers are required to ensure the safety and stability of their load, and will be responsible for guiding the teams who will assist the loading and unloading at each venue to ensure that this requirement is met. The physical ability to lift and carry items which may be large or awkward is required in order to assist with this.

Due to the nature of the theatre industry, unsocial and weekend working is required, however midweek work is also available. Completion of a successful license check and a relaxed driving assessment is required prior to any offer of work.

We would be pleased to discuss the role on either a full time (with additional warehouse work as required to make up hours when not driving), part time, or zero-hours basis.

Applications must have a full UK driving license and be willing to drive large vans (B category) and 7.5 tonne trucks (C1 category).
