Job overview: As the Downstream Marketing Manager you will represent regional market dynamics across the broader Marketing team and cross-functionally, and will instill a strong customer focus across the organization. Liaising closely with Sales, Marketing Communications, Medical Education, Clinical Education, Upstream Marketing, Operations and Regulatory, this role will create market-specific commercialization strategies for the assigned business to ensure revenue and margin goals are achieved or exceeded through impactful growth initiatives. This role will need to have a high EQ to work effectively with customers and other functions in the company.


Role Specifics

  • Development and execution of product marketing strategies to achieve or exceed goals and objectives in the assigned Region. This includes launching new products or services, forecasting, embracing pricing strategies to establish and defend price, support product lifecycle communications, work with customer service and other cross-functional teams as needed, etc.
  • Develop commercial plans in conjunction and consultation with Sales, Marketing Communications, Medical Education, Clinical Education, Upstream Marketing and Regulatory that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Lead product-marketing activities to establish and leverage “best practices” from around the globe, collaborating closely with Sales teams to ensure appropriate implementation of commercial strategies.
  • Collaboration and coordinate local conferences with MarCom and Sales to deliver strategies of product promotions
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication to create a marketing portfolio of messaging and materials, targeting clinicians and patients.
  • Track competitive activities, proactively developing key marketing campaigns and working closely with Sales partners to understand evolving and changing market dynamics.
  • Perform data-driven analysis, leveraging sale and financial data along with market research to assess sales and market trends, and synthesize results into relevant plans.
  • Identify and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and professional associations across the assigned Region.
  • Work seamlessly with Marketing Communications to develop and deliver excellent communications.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Relevant experience in working with medical devices is preferred
  • Successful experience leading cross-functional product teams
  • Successful experience launching global products
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with other individuals and departments in a fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with ISO, FDA and CE regulations strongly preferred
  • Travel Required: This position requires a minimum of 25% travel required.
