The Donor Relations Director reports to the Executive Director and serves as a critical leadership team member who actively participates in making strategic decisions affecting HfHBC. In collaboration with the ED, the DR Director is responsible for all fundraising and donor relations activities. This positions requires a passion for our mission of building and repairing affordable housing throughout our County. Initiatives include cultivating new and existing donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, and planning and implementing appeals, sponsorships, grants, and special events.Specific DutiesDevelops and implements short-term and long-term fundraising plans to meet operating and program needs.Plans, implements and evaluates all donor appeals to ensure retention of existing donors and cultivation of new donors.Researches, identifies and engages major donors, maintaining on-going relationships and encouraging long-term support of Habitat’s mission.Manages grant writing activity for the affiliate. Ensures that all compliance requirements are met and that all reporting is accurate and timely.Leverages established relationships with donors, volunteers, board members and colleagues to cultivate new sources of support.Provides leadership to all fundraising events and activities.Ensures that the donor database information is current and accurate. Provides for analysis of all reporting associated with fundraising efforts.Represents the organization on evenings and weekends as required for fundraising contacts.Ensures that detailed procedures for all processes of the Donor Department are drafted, implemented and evaluated regularly.Skills And Experience PreferredExperience of 4-6 years in raising funds for a non-profit organization, preferably with major gift experience.Firm understanding of fund development concepts and principlesOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsExperience In Supervising Others Or Leading a TeamExperience in motivating and coaching volunteersDemonstrated ability to communicate with authority and integrityTo express interest in the Donor Relations Director position, please send cover letter, resume and salary requirements to Tammi at
