About us:

TKL Skip Hire is part of the TKL Group of companies. There are several companies operating under the TKL brand so there is plenty to do. TKL Earthworks and Soil manages bulk projects for large building companies across the UK, so this involves liaising with corporations with large budgets. TKL Skip Hire provides waste management services to both the general public and commercial clients such as building companies and borough councils. This role is for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is capable of taking on both one off and repeat business.

The Role:

As the Divisional Manager you will be solely responsible for the public division of the skip hire business, but this also includes many repeat customers. This involves maintaining and updating both the website and all social media on a regular basis to increase business and promote our services. You will also be responsible for the LinkedIn page and website for TKL Earthworks and Soil.

Daily duties to include:

• Taking bookings for skip hire services both over the phone and via the website

• Organising key clients e.g., repeat/frequent customers to ensure they continue to choose us for their services

• Organising collections for skips after the hire period has finished

• Coordinating bookings and collections using excel spreadsheets

• Integrating website bookings with other bookings in order to ensure these are delivered on schedule

• Generate leads for skip bookings using email marketing

• Maintaining all social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter

• Creating and monitoring paid Facebook adverts on a regular basis

• Responsibility for the marketing budget for skip hire including printed and online media e.g., newspaper adverts

• Uploading new content to all LinkedIn pages to increase our following – this is mainly for TKL Earthworks and Soil and involves updates on site progress, new machines, and employee updates

• Updating both websites on a regular basis to ensure information e.g., skip prices and availability is current and correct

• Creating new marketing materials and coming up with new ideas to increase business in all areas of the Group

The ideal candidate:

This role requires a confident person who is able to convert a general telephone enquiry into a booking, whilst also generating leads of their own.

• A friendly and uplifting demeaner on the phone and around the office

• Experience in website design via WordPress is advantageous but not essential

• Excellent time management skills to ensure services are delivered on time

• The ability to work as part of a wider team towards challenging targets

• Some marketing background would be beneficial, but support would be provided
