Distribution Security Officer

We are currently looking for professional Security Officers to join our expanding team, working in our clients distribution centre. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues by providing a visually overt and proactive security service .

This role demands strong conflict resolution skills and a professional approach to dealing with all security related issues in a calm professional manner.

You will be an ambassador of the company and client to the general public, which will entail smart presentation, require excellent timekeeping, and for you to have an approachable demeanour.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent customer service skills

· Assertiveness and confidence to deal with difficult situations

· Capability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player

· The ability to use CCTV and other monitoring equipment

· A pro-active, can do attitude

· Frontline Door Supervision, Close Protection or Security Guarding Licence is essential, a CCTV Licence would be beneficial

· A proven track record within the security industry or related services.

As a security officer for Secur-it you will be responsible for:

· Ensuring the safety of colleagues and customers

· The physical security of the site

· Providing a polite, visible uniformed presence on the warehouse floor

· Assisting the management team on site

· Protecting and safeguarding the company assets

· General Health and Safety on site

You will be required to undertake all security duties within the store and work with management teams to ensure the service provided is second to none.

These duties include, but are not limited to,

· Protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse,

· Deter violence, theft and public order offences

· Respond to any incident or request for assistance on-site and assume control until the arrival of the Emergency Services or Duty Manager if required.

· Reporting of all incidents & intelligence data using a smart device promptly
