LEVEL 1 Grade K £37,846 - £39,937 (Inclusive of 15% Plussage)

LEVEL 2 Grade M £44,723 - £47,007 (inclusive of 15% Plussage)

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic solicitor to join the DRL team. Along with some general litigation, the role has a clear focus on Special Educational Needs and Inclusion, supporting the Council’s SEND and inclusion team in delivering the best outcomes for children with special educational needs.

The SEND focussed role will include regular meetings with the SEND team, identifying legal issues with SEND managers and developing training for officers and colleagues in the team.

The successful candidate will provide support and representation where appropriate for the SEND team at SENDIST.

About You

The solicitor/barrister you will be required to demonstrate the capacity to take responsibility but within a supportive environment and to arrive at solutions to problems through analytical ability and thorough research.

You will show tenacity and strong interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships and establish credibility with clients and colleagues
