Role Description

Live Nation Entertainment’s Global Security team is looking for an action-oriented Director, Venue Security Operations to help oversee, coordinate and assess security efforts in the Live Nation Europe and Middle East region with specific focus on festival, amphitheatre, clubs/theatres and 3rd party venue operations and risk management/mitigation.

What the role includes

  • Achieve a working knowledge of Live Nation business lines, assets, policies, operations, people, and objectives
  • Represent the CSO in planning and coordination with assigned Division
  • Support and represent the regional senior leadership in planning and coordination with assigned Division
  • Foster, develop and maintain a high level of engagement with internal and external tactical and operational stakeholders
  • Partner with internal business units, external stakeholders and sub-contractors, industry peers, law enforcement and intelligence agencies to leverage best practices and suggest continuous refinement of security policies, standards and procedures to facilitate compliance
  • Help develop and promulgate security policies and best practices, in collaboration with Legal/others, to buy down risk at our owned and operated venues and festivals using tools, technologies and processes/procedures in the areas of but not limited to emergency operations plans and procedures; hostile vehicle deterrence; search technologies and screening lanes to preclude the entry of weapons and explosives into a venue or surrounding the venue perimeter; use of CCTV as well as proper training and policy implementation to include bomb and active assailant protocols
  • Perform security audits and risk vulnerability assessments of EMEA venues and operations to identify potential concerns, prioritize operational gaps, and identify necessary corrective actions to ensure efficient protective capacities and consistent delivery of adaptive, proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Assist the CSO with comprehensive compliance efforts relating to the regulatory and operational practices of the region and provide security and counterterrorism advice and assistance to respective Division leadership to include the Presidents, COOs, General Managers and Security Directors
  • Prepare operational and situational reports to assist in security planning, deployment and the development of risk mitigation measures to be implemented at venues
  • Assist the CSO to identify venue specific security goals, objectives and metrics consistent with the greater Live Nation corporate strategic plan
  • Participate in brainstorming, ideas generation, and budget/operations planning sessions with the Senior Director International, the CSO and other Global Security leaders to set priorities and goals for each year, solve identified problems, and prioritize/plan activities
  • Identify appropriate security technologies and solutions and assist with vetting outside vendors and resources in order to positively impact security operations and enhance fan experiences and business objectives
  • Collaborate with Live Nation Global Security training and intelligence partners, Divisions/venue leadership, at risk personnel and various security vendors to develop and implement a cost-efficient, risk-based methodology to enhance existing venue/site security measures and achieve procedural and operational consistency
  • Collaborate in the development of an enterprise-wide and consistent incident reporting/management and crisis communications process. Coordinate incident management and emergency response programs with cross-Division leadership and affected Live Nation executives and stakeholders. Be the focal point for EMEA security incidents and lead incident response activities effectively with stakeholders as required
  • Oversee compliance and maintenance of security incident records; provide documentation in support of incident response and analyse trends or emerging concerns
  • Facilitate and maintain relationships with regional, national/federal and international law enforcement and related government agencies in support of global security and venue operations
  • Assist Live Nation Global Security partners to ensure consistent fulfillment of critical security requirements and other related duties, as assigned by the CSO or Live Nation executive leadership
