In your role as Digital Product Transformation Lead, you will work in close partnership with our client’s portfolio of life saving companies to partner with them on their journey of incorporating strategic innovation and digital thinking, capabilities and commercialization of solutions in their companies.

Using your personal experience and in-depth knowledge of incubating, accelerating and commercialising new solutions, you will establish yourself as a thought leader and trusted advisor to the companies and their employees, providing insights on best practices, approaches, pitfalls and doing the work. You will do this through a mixture of structured projects, programmes and ad-hoc support, which you will design and direct to ensure the emerging needs of companies are met.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Work with the client’s portfolio of life saving companies, you will work in partnership with them to identify and take advantage of the digital opportunities and protect against the threats presented by innovation & digital business in the marketplace.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor in the business, devising and directing the right mix of programmatic and ad-hoc support for companies.
  • This role is a hands-on role, with an expectation you will identify and prioritize digital opportunities, work on customer centric solutions with the companies and with the highest impact where your direct involvement will accelerate getting the work to commercialization and revenue/profit generation.
  • Partner collaboratively with the Innovation & Digital team to deliver a mixture of structured programmes and ad-hoc support aimed at helping companies, including, but not limited to:
    • Defining their digital ambitions for their market/ customers.
    • Validating and refining their ideas via customer insights.
    • Executing on their digital plans to drive revenue and profit, business modelling, monetization of data, business plans.
    • Collaborating with the Technology/ IoT team to deliver on the system architecture and software and/ or identifying external partners to leverage as a part of execution.
    • Developing Go2Market for products, commercialisation plan.
    • Defining digital sales/ marketing, market entry (including creating plans, pitch decks, negotiating for B2B).
    • Actively identifying fit-for-purpose viable technologies, partnerships and commercialization opportunities for the company and their sectors.
    • Operates with a test and learn mindset, openness to failing fast and learning from those failures, pivoting as needed.
    • Experience in assessing and finding innovation and digital talent.
    Experience
    • Evidence of consulting services focused on delivering digital revenue and profit growth.
    • Experience of customer insights developments and problem-solution-fit development for digital products, business models or SaaS.
    • Experience in innovation and agile methodologies and tools, ideally with track record of successfully delivering digital innovation projects either internally or for a customer/partner.
    • History of working as a trusted advisor with cross-functional senior stakeholders.
    Skills
    • IT/Technology/Engineering degree or equivalent.
    • Digital/IoT System-Architecture background.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on attitude set.
    • Solid business understanding of P&L management, forecasting, strategic planning etc.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) to all key stakeholders.
    • A low ego and is humble in mindset and approach and interested and willing to gain insights from others and incorporate feedback into approach.
    • Attracting people to follow, leading without hierarchy.
    • Strong ability to self-motivate is a must as the role will be a mixture of independent work and teamwork with a globally distributed team.

    • Both: Ability to travel globally and to work from home effectively with companies
    This role reports directly to the Chief Innovation & Digital Officer for our client and is located in Amersham, UK with limited travel abroad.
