Working within the Sure Petcare global marketing team and reporting to the Digital Marketing Lead, the Digital Marketing Manager contributes to the development and execution global digital marketing strategy by making recommendations on digital campaign planning and social media channel operations. The Digital Marketing Manager is also responsible for developing the digital elements of global product marketing campaigns and providing consultancy and guidance to country marketing teams in their deployment of digital marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Digital strategy development and execution (40%)

  • Responsibility for Digital Media Strategy, including making recommendations on paid media priorities, target audience selections, and media metrics to measure success.
  • Development of a digital marketing playbook & recommended ecosystem of tools, services and programs for country teams to set up digital marketing activities locally including:
    • Digital customer journey overview including recommended digital marketing tools employed to achieve different objectives at each stage of the customer journey
    • Recommended digital marketing plans & content suggestions
    • Multi-channel automation campaigns
    • Website optimisation & ecommerce best practice
    • Recommended KPIs, benchmarks and reporting dashboards
  • Deliver digital marketing workshop and provide ongoing consultancy and guidance to country and regional marketing teams on the development, implementation, measurement & refinement of local digital marketing activities
  • Keep on top of latest trends and developments in digital marketing to act as an SME for global product marketing and country teams
  • Ensure best practice knowledge transfer series to coach local marketing teams in D2C digital marketing strategies & tactics

Global content campaign planning and execution (30%)

  • Develop the digital paid media strategies and tactics to be employed to achieve global product marketing campaign objectives
  • Develop content plans and assets for inclusion in global product marketing campaign packs
  • Manage content for customer journey advertising and social touchpoints based upon previous performance and best practice supported by the product marketing and creative teams
  • Ensure execution excellence of global content campaigns by providing consultancy to country marketing teams and guidance on paid media mix, digital asset adaptation, and campaign results tracking.

Sure Petcare global website, social media channels and eCommerce (30%)

  • Responsibility for improving pet owner engagement and D2C sales on Sure Petcare website by optimising user experience supported by website development team
  • Manage Sure Petcare global social media channels
  • Lead any future website revamp/improvement projects supported by web development team
  • As subject matter expert, give guidance and significant influence to country marketing teams to develop and execute country marketing plans for global eCommerce retailers e.g. Amazon

Education – Minimum Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
  • Alternatively, a CIM (or similar) qualification

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years’ marketing experience in a similar role managing multi-channel digital communications
  • Experience of the end-to-end planning, implementation & measurement of social media & digital advertising campaigns
  • Detailed working knowledge of major digital advertising and social media platforms
  • Experience of creating engaging, informative and entertaining consumer campaign ideas and content
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Experience in an international role an advantage
  • Experience of using marketing automation platforms (especially Salesforce Marketing Cloud) a bonus
