Digital Learning Designer


Would you like to work within the Teaching Learning and Assessment team? We currently have vacancies for Digital Learning Designers at our site in Preston.


As a Digital Learning Designer, you will be a part of changing and improving practice across the Early Careers Digital transformation project – moving towards blended learning. Creating the content and ensuring a standardised approach to learning.


This role will provide you with the opportunity to design the curriculum/content/packages of learning, be a part of a project which is going to change how Early Careers teaches within BAE and work across various business units.


Your main responsibilities as a Digital Learning Designer will involve:


Creating packages of learning in conjunction with the development of curricula across our UK Apprentice and Skills Training provision, focusing primarily on the Engineering curriculum.


Working with Subject Matter Experts from our UK sites, to create modern, blended and impactful curriculums for Apprenticeships and Skills Training.


Utilising Digital Learning Technology to enhance and maximise our teaching and learning, delivery and resources consistently across the UK.


Supporting Curriculum Designers to influence sites to embrace change through the conception, creation and implementation of innovative assessment techniques


Utilising effective digital packages to create agile and engaging packages of learning as part

of a synchronous and asynchronous curriculum.


Leveraging digital tools to create agile, engaging materials for apprentices which can be utilised both synchronously and asynchronously where required.


Providing expertise and guidance on the design process to ensure the specification of the package is met


Creating and sustaining a culture of collaboration to enable the sharing of best practice and enhance the overall learner experience


Taking responsibility for creating learning packages working with a variety of SMEs through the whole design process


Your skills and qualifications:


Educated to Degree level in a related subject or Instructional Design qualifications or equivalent industry experience


Experience in creating curricula


Exceptional IT Skills including MS Office, Virtual Learning Environments (preferably Canvas), Digital authoring tools including the use of SCORM packages.


Experience of engaging others and promoting participation in activity that promotes improved and modernised teaching learning and assessment through a modernised curriculum.


Understanding of the intent, implementation and impact of the planned and delivered curriculum


Knowledge of current safeguarding practice and legislation.


What we’re looking for in you:


You will have good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, ability to react and prioritise tasks and plan workload, be passionate about improvement and delivering high quality apprentice and skills training.


Location:Preston

Salary:Circa £32,000 dependent on skills and experience
