About the role

As a Digital Learning and Support Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our Future Ready Hubs foster an environment of excellence. You will provide line management to Student Support Officers and Curriculum Liaison Officers, fostering a supportive and high performing team.

Our Future Ready Hubs epitomize a one-stop shop support centre for college life which is both a physical and a digital service hub. Bringing services together so they are effective to use and access, provide a consistent and equitable approach and meet the diverse needs of our student body.

The Future Ready Hubs provide a vibrant and welcoming space for students to get help, undertake individual study, collaborate with their peers and develop skills needed for their next steps.

Staff within the Future Ready Hubs are cross trained in providing support with traditional & digital learning skills, learning resources both traditional and digital, student finance, UCAS and positive engagement approaches, with staff feeling confident to support students regardless of their enquiry or support need.

Providing support to students, ensuring that they have access to essential resources and information. You will offer assistance and advice to staff in adapting to cultural and curriculum changes, empowering them to utilise learning resources effectively.

At Northumberland College, the role will involve working across both Ashington campus and Kirkley Hall campus. At Sunderland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form, the role will involve working across 3 sites: Bede Campus, City Campus and Hartlepool Sixth Form. This role will include some evening work.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels. You will have a proven track record in leading a team. Your positive and helpful approach will be crucial in fostering a welcoming, supportive and professional service within the Future Ready Hubs. Additionally, your knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion will help create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
