About The Role

Yatton Methodist Church in conjunction with the One Programme: Leadership is seeking to employ a dynamic young person who is passionate about using digital communication to pioneer a new online church community.

They will do this by engaging with key stakeholders within the church and will come alongside those that are already working to develop this work. By the end of the project year the young person will develop, launch and pioneer a digital community and present a 5-year strategy for the continuation of the community.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of digital mission and ministry goals as part of YMCs Strategic Priorities.
  • Create and launch a new online digital community.
  • Produce a long term plan for the future of the digital community.
  • Utilise appropriate platforms (eg Web, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram etc) to engage all age groups and life stages within and outside the church

About You
  • A committed Christian who is passionate about helping equip the church for mission in the digital world
  • Have a passion and drive to share the gospel in a digital age.
  • Willingness to work with as part of a team, and across age groups and multiple projects to help increase digital engagement

Key Requirements (qualifications And Skills)
  • 5 GCSE’s (Including English and Maths)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of modern communication methods and how to effectively utilise them.
  • Good communication skills
