Digital Business Analyst / IT Business Analyst

Digital Business Analyst’s are key to the business, even more so whilst the business goes through a large digital and technology transformation programme, driven by a variety of reasons this role is important in understanding business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of the requirements with relevant stakeholders.

As a Digital Business Analyst will work with the Product Owner under the Direction of the Operations & Compliance Director to work up User Stories within various business areas for submission to the Scrum Team.

Specific Responsibilities
  • As an important asset to the business and to work closely with business stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure that the requirements gathered are agreed by the stakeholders
  • To understand the IT systems/digital technologies and what is possible.
  • To work with the PO and the Scrum team to understand the size of the change and relevant priority amongst other business pressures.
  • To ensure each piece of work is documented to a level that means the work can be carried out without significant clarification needed.
  • The work is broken down into User Stories that the Scrum team can work from.
  • To deliver work/projects to agreed deadlines.
  • To keep relevant personnel informed of progress on active projects, highlighting significant variations between expected and actual delivery dates in a timely manner for a proactive response.
  • To respond in a timely manner to relevant queries submitted to them.

Experience:

  • Good Business Analysis experience ideally within a Digital and IT environment.
  • The ability to identify a variety of needs, breakdown business problems, support the development of business requirements and processes, and offer viable solutions
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and help shape decisions
  • Understanding of users requirements.
  • Experience facilitating workshops.
  • Ability to help manage change.
  • Someone who can create ideas for different workflows.
