We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Principal Digital Analyst / Lead Product Owner / Manager who has a strong background as a Business Analyst or Product Management with excellent team leadership and management skills and the ability to design and deliver digital solutions.

Working as the Principal Digital Analyst / Lead Product Owner / Manager you will be part of a focused and innovative team working on exciting solutions and projects.

As the Principal Digital Analyst / Lead Product Owner / Manager you’ll make a difference by playing a key role in designing and delivering digital solutions that will make a difference for key workers, customers and service users across South Gloucestershire.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Principal Digital Analyst / Lead Product Owner / Manager will include:

In the role, you will be Product Owner for some of our most significant digital services and support other members of the team to fulfil this role for others

Working collaboratively, you will build relationships with business Service Owners to ensure product backlogs are prioritised and sprint outputs are reviewed, and also work with Technical Delivery Managers to ensure wider governance and stakeholder communication is effective

Supporting the team, you will work with others in the Discovery & Design team (including those with related skills in business analysis, service design and interaction design) to ensure user stories are ready for developers and testers

You will work across and within Agile Development teams and support them in effective delivery

Your days will be made up of time working on projects on your own and meetings with suppliers, engineers and the development team

Examples of the type of projects you work on could include:
Providing new digital tools to support our Social Care teams

Extending the services available via our public website portal

Delivering new mobile asset management solutions to our Streetcare teams

The team is currently working remotely, but there is the technology in place to collaborate continuously working closely with team members.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As a successful candidate you will have the following:
You will have a degree or relevant qualifications, or demonstrable industry experience and expertise from a business analysis or product management background in a technology-driven context

It is essential that you have experience both establishing and applying strategy, patterns, standards, and policies for design of digital services. Also, you should be able to confidently challenge these and provide guidance to others that need to use them in their own work

Have experience understanding business problems and producing viable and appropriate designs in response (customer journey and business process)

You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and explanation of technical information to non-technical audiences

It is important that you have experience leading and mentoring more junior members of a team in this area of specialism.

You must have experience shaping a multidisciplinary agile development team and using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira to manage a Product Roadmap, Product Backlog and generate useful metrics about product delivery
