Digital Analyst

What is the role

This is a new role in an expanding data and analytics function. Data is at the heart of everything we do at Yours Clothing. Now with sister brands, BadRhino, Long Tall Sally and PixieGirl and the recent acquisition of M&Co, data is in more demand than ever. As we move to a cookie-less world where data collection is becoming more complex, we are looking for an individual to join our data team to help drive forward the data strategy for the business.

In this commercially focused role, you will need to extract and report on sales information and website metrics across many websites and marketing channels for all five brands. This will be from a combination of different systems including an internal SQL Server database and Google Analytics. In addition, you will support the wider data team in the role out and testing of a new Data Warehouse system and report automation project.

Experience in either GA (tagging and analysis) or SQL Server (query writing and data extraction) is required.

What you will do

• Creation and upkeep of regular reports to monitor sales performance & marketing activity across the different marketing channels
• Extraction, manipulation and analysis of key commercial data from various different systems
• Using visualisation software (Tableau) to produce dashboards that enhance understanding of marketing activity across the business
• Troubleshooting data discrepancies and supporting the Data and Insights Manager to implement solutions
• Supporting the wider team in the implementation and testing of a Data Warehouse and new Tableau reporting suite
• Supporting on the changes in Google Analytics and working across teams to improve wider business knowledge of GA4
• Regular and Ad-hoc projects requiring creative approaches to answering data-based queries

• Experience in extracting & analysing data from a either an SQL Server Database OR Google Analytics
• Knowledge of a data visualisation tool, ideally Tableau
• Understanding of ecommerce and what data would be important to a retail business
• Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset – keen to learn how to gather the right data from appropriate sources, probe all the facts and consider other perspectives
• Experience of working with a data warehouse system would be desirable but not essential
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Good time management skills to deliver in a fast-paced environment
