A leading software company (Leeds and Wakefield offices) are seeking an ambitious DevOps engineer to lead their ongoing transition to a cloud first methodology, taking ownership of building, deploying, scaling and supporting their growing AWS infrastructure. The successful DevOps engineer will be a senior member of a team made up of developers and site reliability engineers who are working to design, build, deploy and continually improve on software systems relied upon by a broad client base that includes the NHS.
The ideal DevOps engineer will have experience contributing to the design stage of AWS projects as well as utilising infrastructure as code to build and manage platforms, alongside being involved in the migration and deployment of applications into the cloud. This DevOps engineer position could provide an exciting opportunity for the right engineer to not only build on their existing technical experience, but also to take end to end ownership of projects and have a substantial long term impact on the business and software as a whole.

DevOps Engineer - Essential Experience
  • Design, build and deployment of AWS infrastructure platforms, ideally including dev, test, UAT and production
  • Building and extending CI/CD pipelines, ideally with TeamCity, Octopus and/or Jenkins
  • Infrastructure as code and/or configuration management – Terraform, Ansible and similar
Experience With The Following Would Be a Plus
  • AWS Certification
  • Deploying .Net and JavaScript based applications
  • Database administration – SQL, Postgres, DynamoDB
  • Web Servers – IIS, Apache, Nginx
