A client within the Public Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their development team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a construction environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to lead project delivery for the business in accordance with the Business Plan.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the Operations Manager in preparing and delivering the Business Plan objectives
  • Lead on delivering projects in line with the Business Plan to the required cost, time and quality.
  • Support the land acquisition process
  • Lead on securing planning permission for identified sites
  • Undertake project level financial management.
  • To influence and negotiate with consultants, contractors, agents on a commercial basis.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline and recognised project management qualification or demonstrable practical experience.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Significant knowledge of project management and housing developments delivered on time and to budget.
  • Demonstrable understanding of overseeing multiple construction sites within a commercial programme.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing business cases, leading people and applying creativity and innovation to problem solving within a project team.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £28 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
