The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Development and Sales, you will be responsible for providing a project management service to facilitate the delivery of new homes.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Assisting the Head of Development and Operations Director (Development) in formulating the Development Strategy
  • Identifying sites, properties, and new opportunities suitable for development
  • Managing development projects from inception to completion
  • Working closely with the Sales Manager throughout the development process on sales projects
  • Liaising with and maintaining effective communication with internal and external customers
  • Aiding the Association’s growth by forming and maintaining relationships with private house builders
  • Negotiating with contractors and developers
  • Preparing, appraising and coordinating schemes for Homes England funding

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A professional/technical qualification relating to building/construction/design
  • Proven experience of general development experience project managing a range of schemes
  • Experience of new build development project management
  • Experience of project managing refurbishment and/or remodelling of existing property
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic construction
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good levels of financial awareness including the ability to prepare, monitor and analyse financial information

Due to the nature of the role, a full, valid driving licence is required.
